Welcome to our classroom!
In two languages --- En dos idiomas Ms. Briscoe's Room 3rd grade English We are a Dual Language Spanish classroom. Together with Ms. McLane, we are a community of learners who strive to become biliterate. We use Spanish and English to learn about our world. Ms. McLane and I are a the 3rd grade team for the Dual Language Program at ASCS. We work closely together to promote and develop a community of learners who learn in two languages all in the 3rd grade curriculum. As the 3rd grade group, we rotate everyday through the Spanish and English classrooms. We do not repeat content or lessons, but what is learned in one language builds upon what will be seen in the other classroom. We love to see students grow as second language learners, whether it is Spanish or English. We find studen'ts strenghts in order to challenge and encourage them to be stretch in their own learning. The Dual Program is a very rigourous and demanding program, and we are proud of our students and their parents who give 100% and more in order to support each of our students.
